We have a food pantry inside the Parent Education Center. We carry a variety of baby and toddler snacks.
An outside food panty, called Paige's Blessing Box, is also located outside the Parent Education Center that is filled daily. Please take what you need and donate to the box.

We are a federally approved 501(c) non-profit community-based organization in California, founded by parents. Our mission is focused on helping parents access FREE resources and education. We are a FREE baby box distribution center for babies 0 - 6 months. .
MUM & BABY SHOP
We offer FREE gently used maternity and baby clothing newborn to size 2T. We couldn't accomplish our goals without clothing donations. We have a brand new washer and dryer onsite to launder all donations. Please drop clothing or food donations off @ 3803 Union Avenue - Thurs-Sat - 9am-5pm.

Without the generous support of Kari Anderson, Founder of Robert Grimm Family Foundation, the Parent Education Center would not be possible! Since April 2017, Kari and her foundation, have been an instrumental catalyst in helping the Sleepy Baby Box Foundation achieve their goal of opening a Parent Education Center in downtown, Bakersfield.

The Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation was formerly known as The Bakersfield Californian Foundation. Only the Foundation's name has changed — the Foundation's Board of Directors, its mission and goals, and the entity itself, remain the same.

The Blessing Box Foundation, Inc. is committed to providing nutritional assistance to those who are hungry throughout Kern County. Our goal is to grow a network of independently sponsored Blessing Boxes and to provide our partners with guidance and support as needed.

We are dedicated to improving the lives of parents and babies in our community. A $20 donation will provide a baby with diapers, diaper rash cream, 2 pairs PJs, bottle, thermometer, pacifier plushy, and a blanket.
